Gretchen passed away peacefully on 7-19-2022 at Centerpoint Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Gretchen was born to Herbert G. and Anna I (Kuhns) Fry on 7-19-1951 in La Junta, Colorado,
and was the 2nd of 6 children. Her parents were adventuresome, so Gretchen was raised in Colorado, California, Oregon and, finally Missouri where she raised her family. She had 2 daughters, 1 stepdaughter, and 2 stepsons. She loved her family greatly and loved her friends as family. Gretchen enjoyed camping, crafting, sewing, cooking, and her Jack Russell fur babies.
Gretchen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry, her daughters Starleen (Rick),
Kathleen (Tim), stepdaughter Sheralyn, stepsons Lyle Reynolds and Lawrence J. Karman, and her fur baby, Skippy.
Grandchildren: John Kimm (Chrystal), Casandra Kimm (Bryer), Bryce Owings and Brandi Owings.
Great grandchildren: Alysa, BreAnna and CheyAnn, and Roanin
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 7, 2022, at Buckner Town Hall at 3 pm, located at
32 Sibley Street, Buckner, MO 64016
