Lawrence Newton Keck Sr.

Lawrence Keck, Sr., 91 of Independence, MO passed away January 18, 2017. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A graveside service will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Truman Road in Buckner, MO. All are invited to a reception that will follow the graveside service, which will be held at the Elk’s Lodge, 100 NE Brisendine Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Mr. Keck was born April 24, 1925 in Independence, MO to Claud W. and Maud M. (Boyle) Keck. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jeanne (Clark) Keck; two sons, Kenny Keck (Karen) and Larry Keck (Stephanie); eight grandchildren, Korey (Emmalee), Katie, Chris, Matt (Amber), Amy, Danny, Lane and Cole; as well as two great grandchildren, Kipton and Atalee. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lela Meinberg and Gladys Baird; and one brother, Russell Keck.
