Carl Melvin Keehler

Carl M. Keehler, 92, Independence, MO passed away April 28, 2014. Memorial services with Full Military Honors will begin at 10 am, Friday May 2 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Carl was born Feb. 14, 1922 in AuSable, MI. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of the Ironworker’s Union Local #10 for over thirty years. He was a member of Beacon Heights Community of Christ. He had lived in Independence since 1940’s. He loved fishing for crappie at Lake Jacomo and for trout at Bennett Springs. Carl is survived by his wife Edith Keehler; daughter Vivian Keehler, both of Independence, MO; son Ted Keehler and wife Shelby, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Teresa Soto and husband Martin, Kansas City, MO; sister Ruth Bateman, Independence, MO; grandchildren Amber Young and husband Trey, Lee’s Summit, MO; John Keehler and wife Tasha, Dallas, TX; Andrea Raymond and husband Matt, Lee’s Summit MO and twelve great-grandchildren.
