Jennie Keeler

Jennie M. Weddle Keeler, daughter of William Lowe Ingram and Anna Bell Reeves Ingram was born November 15, 1914 in Smithville, Missouri and died October 31, 2007 at Kansas City Hospice House at the age of 92 years.
On February 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Roy J. Writeman. He died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 30 years. She was then married to Everett Lee Weddle on April 14, 1946 who died on Sept. 7, 1973. On October 18, 1980 she married William Marvin Keeler who died on April 7, 2003. Jennie was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church of Independence, remaining active in church activities until her recent illness. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir, and worked with various committees. She had worked as a bookkeeper in various businesses, including the Bayer Co. and Independence Regional Hospital. She enjoyed her extended family and friends and was an artist and quiltmaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and Wayne Ingram, the before mentioned husbands, and her stepson, Clark Lee Weddle. Jennie is survived by a step-daughter, Carmen Lanning of Florida; four grandchildren, Scott Clark Weddle and Anna Weddle Saunders both of California, Laura Weddle Rees of Arizona and Melanie Bell of Florida; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and enjoyed time spent with them, and pictures and phone calls exchanged. She will be genuinely missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Saturday, November 3 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty, Independence. Services will begin at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty, Indep., MO 64050 or to the charity of your choice.
