“Keen”, 73, of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. Cremation is planned with no services, per his wishes. He was born on October 11, 1944 to Joseph and Otah (Hemphill) Keen. He was born and raised in Lebanon, MO. He worked for Lipton Tea Company in Independence, MO and retired after 31 (wonderfully enjoyable) years of service.
Keen’s favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting with his son, stepson, grandchildren, and friends. Oh! The stories that have been told – those memories will never be forgotten! He loved traveling with his wife Linda, vacationing in Las Vegas, taking cruises to various countries, and spending “quality” time at the casinos. He was a strong, big-hearted gentleman with a calm, peaceful air about him. He was given the gift of being the helping hand when friends or loved ones were in need. He often said God told him to help!
He will be missed and remembered always by his wife Linda Keen; son Mark Keen and wife Kathy; step-son Ronald Mason and girlfriend Shelley Fields, step-son Stephen Kuhn; brothers Billy Keen and wife Hazel, and Marvin Keen; sister Tiny Cooper, 2 granddaughters Amanda Taulbee and husband Howard, Haley Gray and boyfriend Matt Molan; grandsons Eric Keen, James Kuhn, Christopher Kuhn; and 3 great-grandchildren Kaydence and Bradyn Keen, Maxx Taulbee; plus several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Michelle Kuhn, grandsons Bobby and Ronald Mason Jr., his parents, brothers Raymond and Robert Keen, a sister Marie Jolliffe.
