Phyllis A. Keever (Shoup)

Phyllis A. Shoup Keever, 72, Independence, MO, formerly of Shoshone, ID, passed away March 12, 2017. Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 16 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 603 N. Jennings Rd, Independence, MO 64056; cremation. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to St. Mark’s UMC, or One Community Hospice, 1415 W. White Oak, Independence, MO 64050.
Phyllis was born to Harold and Ione (Grimmett) Shoup on June 15, 1944 in Emporia, KS. She was a member of the church since she had moved to the area four years ago. She loved her soap operas and shopping but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by granddaughter Trina Diane Clark. She is survived by son Earl D. Bay and wife Jennie Lea; daughter Tamara Ann Costanza and husband Mark, all of Independence, MO; daughter Tina Marie Henshaw, Twin Falls, ID; Telinda Lavera Knight-Higer and husband Curt, Ft. Lupton, CO; son Phil Knight, Seattle, WA; brothers Harold Shoup and wife Ruby, Twin Falls, ID: Robert Shoup, Shoshone, ID; eleven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
