Esther Lucille Kehler, 70, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 1:00-5:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Mississippi Terrace in Keokuk, IA.
Esther was born February 25, 1942 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Charles A. and Grace A. (Varner) Sapp. She worked as a foreman for Midwest Carbide in Keokuk, IA before moving to the Lee’s Summit in 1988. Esther was an avid KC Chiefs fan, but most of all she dedicated her life to raising her family. She was preceded in death by her husband James Kehler; two granddaughters; two great grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include her children, Wade Kehler and wife Annie, Gale Brown and husband Robert, Craig Kehler and wife Kathy, Rick Kehler and wife Brenda, Tami Kehler, James Kehler, II and wife Wandaleen, David O’Day, and Christine Moeller; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; two sisters; six brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews and family.
