Dorthey (Dot) Ann Keith passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on September 1st, 2022.
A memorial visitation will take place on September 9, 2022 from 2-4pm at Carson Speaks Chapel (1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, Missouri 64052).
She was born August 12th, 1956, in Independence, Missouri to parents George W. Lemasters Jr. and Grace A. Lemasters (Robinson). She was a 1974 graduate of Truman High School. She worked in the food service industry a majority of her career and retired from The Groves in 2011.
Dots biggest loves in life were her family and her fur babies. She loved having her home filled with family, cooking for everyone while listening to music, dancing, and watching her grandkids run around. She also enjoyed watching Wizard of Oz or any musical, listening to Pink Floyd, and celebrating Halloween, where she often dressed as a witch and passed out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. She loved to fish, cuddling her grandkids, and making crafts.
She is survived by her son Jeromy Keith (Kassey) of Independence, Missouri. Daughter, Heather West (Dan Martin) of Kansas City, Missouri. Grandchildren Dakota West (Cathy) of Blue Springs, Missouri, Samuel West (Savanna) of Muskogee, Oklahoma Alisha West (Zach) of Pittsburg, Kansas, Roselyn Keith of Independence, Missouri, Aston Martin of Kansas City, Missouri. Great grandkids Silas and Saphira West of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Siblings, brother George “Bill” Lemasters (Linda) of Peculiar, Missouri and sister Pamela Geiger of Independence, Missouri. Along with many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father and mother George and Grace Lemasters, sister Grace Evans and brother in laws Larry Evans and Rick Geiger.
