Ruth Keith, 85, Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 29, 2013. Ruth was born January 3, 1928 near Dunnegan, MO the daughter of Thomas Jasper and Anna Ruth (Brown) Ballard. She sold Avon for 30 years and had received her 30 year pin. She has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1960 and was involved in Fun and Crafts over the years with the church. Ruth enjoyed embroidery, quilting, and babysitting.
Survivors include her children, Beverly Ann Cogar and husband Charlie, Stephen Keith and wife Cindy, Marjorie Keith-Riggs, and Judy Bradley and husband Brian; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and sister, Lois Winton. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Orlie R. Keith in 1991.
Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church; 1915 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Dunnegan Cemetery, Dunnegan, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dunnegan Cemetery Association.
