Leona O. Keithly, 87, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 25, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the funeral home.
The family requests contributions to Heartland Hospice.
Leona was born Jan. 7, 1920 in Au Gres, MI. She was a seamstress for drapery supply companies throughout her career. She was an excellent cook and loved John Wayne movies.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Keithly, Jr. in 1988. She is survived by sons Tony Keithly and wife Brenda, Princeton, MN; Lloyd “Danny” Keithly and wife Peggy; step-son Norman Keithly and wife Barbara, all of Independence, MO; step-daughter Lois Linnenberger and husband Norman, Arkansas; sister Ruth Bateman; brother Carl Keehler and wife Edith, all of Independence, MO; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
