Betty Mae Kelley (Dunning)

Betty Mae Kelley, 89, Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Galway Homes, Kansas City, MO. She was born October 25, 1924 in Deep Water, MO to Marsh Dunning and Mabel (Padgett) Dunning. She was preceded in death by parents, her brother, James Dunning and her husband, Elwood G. Kelley. She is survived by her three children, Micheal (Brenda) Kelley of Excelsior Springs, MO, Pat Weary of Independence MO, and Carol D’Attoma (John) of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by five grandsons and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10 AM with a memorial service following at 11 AM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO. Burial will be at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO at 3:00 PM, September 13, 2014. The family would like to thank their caregivers at Galway Homes for four years of compassionate care and to Crossroads Hospice for their thoughtful and compassionate care throughout Betty’s final days.
