Raymond Kennedy, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. Cremation will follow.
Raymond was born on March 6, 1938 in Kansas City, MO. He worked and retired from General Motors. On November 4, 1961 he married Wilma Quisenberry. In his spare time he enjoyed visiting the casino, reading, doing word search puzzles, traveling, and socializing. He was a member of United Auto Workers.
Raymond will be remembered by his wife of 56 years, Wilma Kennedy of Independence, MO; 3 daughters Teresa Kennedy of Independence, MO, Sharon Large of Kansas City, MO, Crystal Rose of Independence, MO; 5 grandchildren Chantayle Rice, James Domville, Bobby Rose, Angel Rose, and Dakota Rose; and 5 great-grandchildren Destiny, Kira, Kay Marie, Hunter and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his parents John W. and Opal Kennedy, 3 sisters, and his son John C. Kennedy.
