Kenneth Wayne Woods

Kenneth Wayne Woods, also known as Kenny, passed away on October 19, 2023, in Independence, Missouri. He was born on July 25, 1958, the son of William and Evelyn “Irene” (Biggs) Woods, in Independence, Missouri. 

Kenny was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. Kenny enjoyed going to the library, watching the chiefs, royals and wheel of fortune. Kenny enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Kenny is survived by his brother Michael (Diane); nieces and nephews, Jarred Woods (Jenny), Bennett, Ellie, Jace, Jason Woods, Jeffery Woods (Ashlee), Mya Burris, Bryson Burris, McKenzie, Preston; sister in-law, Gwen Woods; nieces and nephews, Kristen Morris (Brent), Izabella, Isaiah, Brett Woods (Ellen Jorgenson), Theodore, Eloise. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Irene Woods, and his brother, Harvey L. Woods.

In honor of Kenny's life, a series of services will be held at Carson-Speaks Chapel located at 1501 W Lexington Ave in Independence, Missouri. The visitation will take place on October 27 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service starting at 10:00 am. Finally, a burial ceremony will be held at Appleton City Cemetery at 12:30 pm on the same day.
