Kenneth Leroy Kerley, 83, passed away on Friday March 3, 2023, at St Luke’s East Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1939, in Roscoe, MO to Harry Roy and Ila (Rickman) Kerley. Kenneth was an avid royals and chiefs fan. He worked as a vending supervisor for the Royals Stadium for over 35 years and adored that job. Kenneth even received a handwritten letter from Lamar Hunt and considered it to be one of his most prized possessions. He was a very big fan of high school basketball and loved following along. Him and his friend Maxine used to go to the Big Creek Showplace every Saturday and watch people perform.
Kenneth is survived by his three sons Ken Kerley, Dennis (Jenni) Kerley, and Jimmy (Lisa) Kerley, grandchildren Samantha Kerley, Madison Kerley, Dakota (Grant) Cushing, Kendra Kerley, Kamryn Kerley, Emma Kerley, and Jace Kerley, a great granddaughter Emma, and his very special friend Maxine. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held for Kenneth from 6-8pm on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St Independence, MO 64055
