Janice Lynnett Ketchum, died Jan. 6, 2006 at her home in Independence, MO. surrounded by family and friends after she lost her battle to pancreatic cancer. Janice was born Aug. 4, 1941 in Carthage, MO. to Marvin and Anna Lee Williams. She formerly lived in Overland, MO.
Janice graduated from Bismarck, MO. High School in 1959. She attended college at Mineral Area Community College and Central Missouri State. During her life, she lived in Honolulu, HI, and Atlanta, GA. Most of her life was lived in the St. Louis area and Independence, MO. Janice retired from Ford Motor Credit in 1997.
After she retired, she and her husband, Isaac N. "Ike� traveled. Janice also worked in the office of the General Church Headquarters of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served on the Women�s Council. She touched the lives of the people she came in touch with through her friendliness and kindness. Janice enjoyed cooking, traveling, singing, and working in the church women�s department. During her life, she served as Church School teacher, pianist, organist, and singer.
Janice leaves behind a loving husband, Ike Ketchum, of the home; stepdaughters Debbie Hamilton, Blue Springs; Kimberly Ketchum, Independence; granddaughters Jackie Miguel and Abbi Hamilton, Blue Springs; brothers Fred Williams, Duane Williams, and sister Dawn Hoover, all of Independence; eight nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 am, Wed., Jan. 11, 2006 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.
