Pam Kiernan, 72, of Independence, MO passed away March 18, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday, March 23 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Pam was born on September 11, 1944 in Marion, Iowa to Charles and June (Cunningham) Grimm. She retired form Truman Medical Center Lakewood after 18 years of service. It was while employed that she met her future husband, Thomas “Tom” Kiernan. They were married over 25 years. Pam was a very strong, independent, and sometimes stubborn lady! After surviving Polio at a young age, she never let that stop her from living a full life. She loved to go camping and shopping (especially for shoes). When unable to get out due to health reasons, she would still keep in contact with her children and grandchildren. She was adventurous in the kitchen, always trying new food and sharing with others some of her favorite dishes. Survivors include; husband Tom, son Cary Mitchell; daughters Wendy Sims and her husband Paul, Cammy Faulconer and her husband Greg, Michelle Williams and her husband David, and Denise McGraw; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Judy Smith; brother Tommy Grimm; a large extended family and many friends. Pam is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter in law Janelle Mitchell.
