Sharon Kay Kilgore

Sharon Kay Kilgore, 72, of Liberty, MO passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. Service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty, MO. Sharon was born on September 11, 1946 to Clarence and Opal (Maybee) Kilgore in Alapena, AR. Sharon was one of seven children. She attended East High School and went on to receive a Master's degree from the University of Missouri. Sharon was a supervisor, working for the IRS, a position she held until her passing. Sharon was very independent and brothers lovingly say she had a temper. She loved to fish and enjoyed her book clubs; she was an avid reader. Sharon was very loved and will be missed by many. Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Isaac, Glen and Terry Kilgore; and sister, Trevia Elson. She is preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Clarence.
