Jodie Anne King, 44, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church; 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence. Memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs or ASPCA.

Jodie was born May 9, 1966 in Grandview, MO the daughter of Roy Edwin and Judy Anne (Ondras) Casper. Jodie graduated in 1989 from CMSU with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations. She was employed for 8 years as a SAP Senior Consultant for Cap Gemini Services. Jodie attended St. Mark’s Church and served as a sponsor for the AFJROTC (Air Force JROTC). She enjoyed making all kinds of crafts, including jewelry, and making wedding cakes. Jodie had an open heart for helping animals and that showed in her adoption over the years of cats, dogs, and birds.

Survivors include her loving husband of 19 years, Larry D. King; daughter, Bridget King of Lee’s Summit; mother, Judy Anne Casper of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; father, Roy Casper and his wife Wilma of Independence; step sisters, Stacey Keene of Houston, TX and Wendy Baker of North Kansas City; father and mother in law, George and Roberta King of Raytown; sister in laws, Diana and Cindy Bolejack; uncles, Joe Ondras, Kenneth and Richard Bush, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Bill Casper.
