William King

William “Bill” Wayne King, 84, of Blue Springs, MO went to be with the Lord January 28, 2013. He was born August 5, 1928 in Montrose, MO to John William and Pearl Marie King. He was a Korean War Veteran, member of the American Legion, a Deacon at Beverly Hills Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He retired from the heavy duty parts industry in 2003. Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Randall King on April 7, 2003; mother, Pearl; father, John; and four siblings. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean King; daughter, Deborah Lines; son, Randy King (Christi); four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, February 1, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 1229 W. 31st Street, Independence, MO 64055.
