Patricia Jean Kinnaman

Patricia Jean "Pat� Kinnaman, 78, formerly of Independence, Mo. passed away Feb. 24, 2005 at Liberty Hospital. Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 - 9 pm, Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Arthritis Foundation. Pat was born to Leroy and Ethel (Kemp) Jones on June 6, 1926 in Independence. She was a member of the Class of 1943 at William Chrisman High School, and a member of the Unity Church of Independence. She was a freelance writer for many years and was a past editor of the Unity Magazine. She was published in Guideposts Magazine, the Kansas City Star and the Examiner. While working for the Star, she earned two Pulitzer Awards for her writing. Pat is survived by daughters Rozanne Vincent, Iberia, MO; and Allison Styhl and husband Dan; granddaughters Sydney and Madison, all of Liberty, MO; sisters Joyce Lindsey and husband John; and Sharon Smith, all of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
