Berneta M. Kirchner, 82, of Wellington, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs or to the American Heart Association. Berneta was born August 7, 1925 in Medill, MO to Peter Herman and Meleta (Nelson) Kirchner. She attended all eight grades at Medill and graduated from Kahoka High School. Upon graduating she moved to Washington D.C. and worked several years for the FBI. Later Berneta moved back to Kansas City and worked for Mobile Oil Co., retiring after 40 years of service. Berneta was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul’s Evangelical and Reform Church in Kahoka, MO. Ms. Kirchner was known for her love of small animals and providing for God’s homeless little creatures. She was loving and kind to all she came in contact with. Always having something nice to say about others and lending a helping hand. Ms. Kirchner is survived by her brother Gilbert Kirchner, sister Evelyn Chapman and husband James; nephews Bruce Stark, Steven Stark and wife Maria; niece Mary Kirchner; one great-nephew and two great-nieces.
