Jerry Klaus

Jerry Klaus, 71, of Liberty, MO passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Ashton Court Care and Rehabilitation Center. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Services take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 in the chapel. Burial at Blue Springs Cemetery, Independence, MO. Jerry was born January 17, 1941 in Seminole, Ok to George and Addie (Paxton) Klaus. He graduated from Van Horn High in Kansas City and attended Warrensburg College and the University of Missouri. Jerry was always very outgoing, caring, and personable and could make everyone laugh. He was a true outdoorsman in every sense. For fourteen months, Jerry was married to Jeannie Klaus and they enjoyed their life together at Ashton Court. Jerry will be loved forever. He also leaves behind sister Dee Ann Moser; sister Paula Klaus; brother Kenneth Klaus; step-son Scott Roberts, step-daughter Susan Roberts and their children; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
