Frank Andy Kluska, 89, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away, Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center with his children by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2004 at St. Cyrils Catholic Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday prior to the service at the church. Frank was born April 1, 1915 in Independence, MO to Andy and Mary Kluska and has been a life long resident of Sugar Creek. He worked as a pipe fitter for the Standard Oil refining plant in Sugar Creek, as well as serving as Fire Chief of Sugar Creek, and later worked for General Motors. He was a member of the Slovak Lodge and St. Cyrils Catholic Church and the UAW. Mr. Kluska was thought of as an excellent husband and provider for his family who will be greatly missed. He was married to Ferne Perkins who preceded him in death in 1996. He is survived by; a son, Larry Kluska of Sugar Creek, Mo; a daughter, Pamela Stephens of Roscoe, IL; 2 brothers, William Kluska of Independence and Steve Kluska of Sugar Creek; a sister, Josephine Hooton of Sugar Creek, MO; 3 grandchildren, Melissa Phillips Jeff Moore and Brandon Stephens; a great grandson, Houston Richards and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Moore in 2002, a granddaughter, Angela Kluska; 3 sisters, Helen Slava, Irene Beasley and Bertha Maness and 2 brothers, John Kluska and Lawrence Kluska.
