Grace “Ann” Kneedler, 83, of Harrisonville, MO passed away, peacefully at home, on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm Monday, December 17, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery, also in Independence. Ann was born December 29, 1934 in McPherson, KS to Tom and Naomi (Wash) Owens. Ann was one of four siblings. She attended McPherson High School, where she was a cheerleader. Ann was the proud mother of 4 children; Barbara Heart, Donny Heart, David Heart, and Beverly Heart. Ann was later blessed to meet and later marry the love of her life, and husband of 43 years, Doyle Kneedler. Breeding dogs was Ann’s passion and something she did for many years. She was a devoted mother and wife, enjoyed fishing and singing country and bluegrass music, and adored her constant companion, border collie AJ. Ann was preceded in death by both parents; both daughters, Barbara and Beverly; grandfather Albert Jesse Wash; and grandmother Lily Mae Wash. She is survived by her loving husband Doyle; sons Donny and David; and six grandchildren. Family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association National Headquarters
