Arnold Knight Jr

Arnold Knight, 66, of Independence, passed away in his home Friday, September 28th, 2012. Memorial visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 39th St. Independence, MO. Cremation to follow.
Arnold was born March 24, 1946 to Maxine and Arnold Knight, Sr. in Redland, CA. He attended Van Horn High and Penn Vally Police Academy. Arnold married Linda (Cook) and they were devoted for over 43 years. His love in life were his wife and children, devoting his time and his heart to their passions. Arnold was an accomplished Warrant Officer for Jackson County Sheriffs Dept, retiring in 2009. He also gave his time to Shriners, the Masons, and the Sheffield Assembly of God. Arnold was a member of the Community of Christ Church since childhood. He worked many off-duty jobs supporting peace and community for many events including football games and Christian youth gatherings.
Arnold is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; son, Robert Knight and wife Tilisa of Independence; daughter, Trish Knight and companion John Butler of Oak Grove; three grandchildren, Dylan, Dakota, and Gage Knight; and sister, Arnett Knight of Warrensburg, MO.
