James William Knight

James W. Knight, 78, of Independence, MO went to be with his heavenly father on May 29, 2006 at the Independence Regional Health Center. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, at the Christ United Methodist Church, Independence, MO. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, at the Stoutland Cemetery, Stoutland, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church or The Kidney Foundation. James was born on October 10, 1927 in Camdenton, MO to Augustine and Vivian Knight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1954-56. James was also a long time member of the Christ United Methodist Church, and served in numerous positions for the church. He worked for the Department of Agriculture for 28 years as a computer Systems Analyst. James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Knight; one daughter, Janice K. Jordan; two brothers, Robert and Charles Knight; one sister, Louise Parrish; one grandson, James Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
