Merlin E. Knoles, 86, of Independence, Mo. died August 26, 2006 at his home. Mr. Knoles was cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Carson-Speaks Chapel.
Mr. Knoles was bor in Windsor, Missouri on December 11, 1919 the son of David Lesley and Bertha Ethel (Collins) Knoles. Merlin was a kid at heart and loved go karts, four wheeling, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Christian Church in Windsor and the American Legion Post #20. Mr. Knoles was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He retired from Bendix Corporation where he was an Electronics Assembler. Mr. Knoles married B. Marie Mills in Harrison, Arkansas on April 21, 1951. She survives. Online condolences to www.speakschapel.com.
