Melvin K. Knussmann, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, September 19, 2005 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 12:30 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the New Hope RLDS Church. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:30 to service time Saturday at the church. Melvin was born November 26, 1913 in St. Louis, Mo to William and Esther Elizabeth (Crowley) Knussmann. Melvin was a X-Ray Technician for Independence Sanitarium from 1947-1990. He was a member of the New Hope Congregation of the RLDS Church and had formerly attended Stone Church congregation as well as a 2-year appointment by the church as a missionary in Ohio. He was married to Helen (Hill) on October 16, 1953, she survives of the home. Other survivors include, a brother, Clyde Knussmann of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Hope RLDS Church Building Fund.
