The Reverend Ralph C. Koch, 89, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on September 12, 2005 at St. Mary�s Hospital. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, at St. Luke�s United Church of Christ, 727 N. Main, Independence, MO. The service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Ralph was born on September 26, 1915 in Holstein, MO to Julius and Emilie Koch. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from MeKendree College he graduated from Eden Seminary and was ordained into ministry at Immanual Evangelical Church in Holstein, MO. He served from 1943-1980 in Chamois, MO, Gerald, MO, Mehlville, MO, Bluffton, IN and Independence, MO. Upon his retirement he became Pastor Emeritus at St. Luke�s United Church of Christ, Independence, MO. After retiring The Reverend Koch served six interim ministries. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, acrylic painting and camping. Ralph was preceded in death by his two brothers, The Reverend Elmer Koch and Roy Koch. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Koch; two daughters, Barbara and husband Phil Parrino, and Kathy and husband Bob Krawczyk; four grandchildren, Chris Parrino, Lori Frederick, Jeff Parrino and Matt Krawczyk; 5 great grandchildren; 1 niece; and 1 nephew.
