Brenda Jane Kramer (Johnson)

Brenda Jane Kramer, 67 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at her residence. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until noon Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Brenda was born April 23, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to James A. and Jeanette (Peace) Johnson and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Paseo High School in 1969. She had worked as a caregiver for handicapped patients and later became an LPN and worked in nursing homes. She enjoyed listening to music, helping others and had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Survivors include; 2 daughters, Jill Thompsen and husband Chris and Bonnie Kelly and husband Nathan all of Independence, MO; her mother, Jeanette Johnson of Sedalia, MO; a brother, Gary Johnson of Knoxville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Jeremiah Kramer, Abigail Smith and Maria Kelly and her former husband, Jon Kramer of Kingsville, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, and 1 sister, Bonnie Lynette Miller.
