May Edith Kramer, 91, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to Smile Train.
May was born May 25, 1922 in Enfield, England the daughter of David Alma and Ellen Elizabeth (Wicks) Oakman. She moved to the Independence area in 1950. May was a Registered Nurse and certified midwife and taught nursing for many years. She was a founding member of Ridgewood Community of Christ Congregation.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann M. Warner and husband Tim; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Dora Walsh; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Kramer and additional nieces, nephews and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Annando Kramer, son, David Kramer; two sisters; two brothers; and her parents.
