Leland Eugene Kranz
January 14, 1929 — January 5, 2021
Leland Eugene Kranz, 91, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on January 5, 2021.
He was a heavy equipment operator and member of Operating Engineers Local 101, joining in 1950. He retired from Jim Kidwell Excavating in 2005.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Darlene Kranz; daughter LouAnn Cano (Mike); son, David Kranz (Teresa); six grandchildren, Anna McGhee (Kevin), Michele Johnson (Nathan), Kaitlin Miller, Bailey Wescott (Travis), Brandon Kranz and Tyler Kranz, ten great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Janine Kranz, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Cornelius Kranz, brother and sister in-law, Louis and Elaine Kranz; brother, Johnny Kranz and sister and brother in-law, June and Richard Franzen.
Visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Sunday, January 10th, 2021, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
