Elmer Otto (Dutch) Kueker
Elmer Kueker, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, January 15, 2005. Services will be 1pm Saturday, January 22, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, burial in St. Joseph Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. Elmer was born January 8, 1921 in St. Joseph, MO. He attended St. Joseph Central High School. After graduation he joined the Army Air Force where he was a gunner in WWII and served 14 years. Elmer and Lorraine were married November 21, 1945. Dutch and Tupe (Lorraine) had 59 wonderful years together. Elmer retired from Southwestern Bell in 1986 after 40 years, with 29 years of perfect attendance. He was a member of the local CWA-CIO 6333 union, VFW post 1000 and NRA and Elmer and Lorraine were members of St Paul Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Louise ( Krausa ) Kueker and sister Eleanore Horine. Elmer is survived by his wife Lorraine, of the home; a son Robert Kueker and his wife Katherine of Independence, MO; and son Bryce Stehman of Kansas City, MO, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Memorials are requested to the St Paul Lutheran Church Organ Fund Drive.
