Marie Evelda Kundee

Marie Euvelda Kundee (Trujillo) of Independence, Mo., died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday December 18, 2021. Marie was born near Questa, New Mexico on July 14th, 1932, to Bonifacio and Odelila (Rael) Trujillo. Marie was the third youngest of seven siblings, three girls and four boys. She grew up and attended school in Questa, New Mexico, later moving to Laramie, Wyoming. Marie is survived by five of her six children, Louis Moreno Jr. (Kim) Lee’s Summit, Mo., Vickie Katosh Independence, Mo., Dennis Moreno (Linda) Independence, Mo., Gregory Moreno Independence, Mo., Donis Hamtil) Springfield, Mo. Marie also had nine grandchildren Toni Moreno, James Moreno, Shawn Boyles, Michael Moreno, Ashley Reed, William Moreno, Dominic Katosh, Tiernan Hamtil, and Annalise Hamtil. She also had five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her six siblings, daughter Brenda Harrod Independence, Mo., and her husband, Richard E. Kundee.
Marie loved and adored her large family, always taking great pleasure in visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Over the years, Marie lived in different parts of the country and enjoyed decorating her homes. She loved her time with her husband Richard (Rick) and took great pleasure in the many outings and trips they took visiting family and friends.
The family would like to give thanks to the Traditions Health hospice care.
Marie will be laid to rest at a later date with her husband Rick, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, near Higginsville, Mo.
