On May 13, 2021, Nancy L. Kwak (Yale) passed away at the age of 75 at the Kansas University Medical Center.
Nancy was born on June 18, 1945, in Dallas, TX. She studied nursing at Graceland College and post-graduate pharmacology at the Jennie Lund School of Practical Nursing. She worked as an LPN in Wisconsin and Missouri.
In 1972 she married Junkyu Christopher Kwak. They had 2 daughters, Suzee and Audrey, who she raised after their divorce. Nancy had great joy in her faith. She took great pride in her grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She always delighted in helping others and had a great passion for helping stray cats, participating in spay & neuter programs, and helping any stray animal or human who showed up at her door. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Alfred Yale, mother Miriam Yale, and her sister Eleanor Lewis. Nancy is survived by her 2 daughters Audrey and Suzee as well as 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, 1 sister, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday July 31st, 2021, at the Parkville Presbyterian Church 819 Main Street Parkville, MO 64152. Services will begin at 1:00 PM and friends and family will be received beginning at 12:00 PM. Donations in Nancy’s name can be made to Rolling Acres Memorial Garden for Pets in Kansas City, MO
