Morris Lowell Lacy, 79, of Independence, MO passed away February 27, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the chapel. Burial with full Military Honors will take place in Lone Jack Cemetery. Morris was born on November 7, 1939 in Freeman, MO to William and Oma (Rinker) Lacy. Morris proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. In 1963 Morris married the love of his life Emma Nix. She preceded him in death in 2001. Morris was employed by Owens Corning for over 33 years, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and yard, always able to find something to keep himself busy. Morris loved being outdoors spending time hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, or tending flower gardens. When forced indoors he would work on his puzzle books while watching TV. Morris was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include: daughter Brenda Lacy; son Lowell Lacy and his wife Shanen; daughter Debbie Graef and her husband Rodney; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; extended family and friends. Morris is preceded in death by his parents, wife Emma Lacy, son Casey Bryant, 2 brothers and a sister.
