Gordon Duane Larson, Sr.

Gordon Duane Larson Sr., 77, of Sibley, MO passed away Wednesday May 12, 2004 at his home. Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday May 15th, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Friday at the chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Gordon was born September 11, 1926 in Alba, MI to Waldon and Leota (Vincent) Larson. Mr. Larson�s passion in life was his family. He enjoyed baseball, swimming, visiting with people and sitting in the warm sun. Gordon loved inventing things and held several patents. Mr. Larson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Melvina (Phillips) of the home; son Gordon and wife Cynthia Larson Jr. of Kalkaska, MI; daughters Nancy L. Ecker of Sibley, MO, Anita and husband Rick Turner of Whiteman A.F.B., MO, Betsy and husband Trent Trahern of Sibley, MO; grandchildren Nanie and Dan Downs, Amy A. and Patricia G. Larson, Leah J., Jacob M. Trahern; great-grandchildren Susan R. and Samantha M. Downs; brother Glen Larson and wife Bonnie. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Gary Ecker.
