Ardyth Lauderback, 77, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.
Ardyth was born on August 5, 1940 in Independence, MO. She graduated from Raytown High School and was a self-taught medical transcriptionist. In her spare time she liked to crochet, read, and watch sports and Survivor. She loved listening to classic country and Taylor Hicks. Most of all she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Ardyth will be remembered by her brother Mark Young of Kansas City, MO; her children Pam Komer of Independence, MO, Vicki Higginbotham and John Copowycz of Kansas City, MO, Craig Lauderback and wife Kelly of Kansas City, MO, Susan Batzold and husband Bill of Lees Summit, MO; 8 grandkids Courtney Wells, Kristen Wells, Michelle Crabtree (Jared), Shawn Lauderback, Courtney Lauderback, Colton Higginbotham, Elizabeth Schaefer, and Joshua Batzold; 6 great-grandkids Lance Haynes, Avery Haynes, Samson, Maggie, Grace, and Asher Crabtree; cousin Duane Young (Leslie); nephew John Young Jr.; and niece Traci Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents John “Norman” Young and Betty Lou Young, and her brother John Young Sr.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to City Union Mission or The Keys are at the Cross Prison Ministry.
