Harold Wayne Lauffer, 77, of Lawson, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born to Sennot and Bonnie Lauffer on March 4, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri.
After graduating from East High School Harold proudly entered the United States Army and served his country for many years before his honorable discharge in 1969. He was able to see many parts of the world during that time. Harold enjoyed the outdoors. He was an Eagle Scout within the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and enjoyed leading his sons along their scout journey as well. Harold could always be found tinkering on one of his many projects, adding to his enormous clock collection and fixing up old cars. He enjoyed square dancing and old country music. Johnny Cash and George Jones were two of his favorite artists. Harold was a good man with strong morals and would never hesitate to lend the shirt off his back for someone in need. His silly jovial personality will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Jayleen Pfaffly (Jeff); sons, Scott Lauffer and Harold “Gene” Lauffer; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brandy, Rebecca and Chelsea; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Sue Davis and brother, Don Lauffer (Vicki).
Harold is preceded by his late wife, Ramona; grandson, Scott Lauffer Jr. and numerous siblings.
A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Saturday, March 4th at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Mo. Funeral service will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Mount Washington Cemetery.
