David Laughlin

David Laughlin, 74, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away June 27, 2013. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, July 1, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Entombment will take place at Floral Hills East Mausoleum. David was born October 15, 1938 in Kansas City, KS to Loyd and Nellie Laughlin. He was a member of the (RLDS) Community of Christ, and in 2000, retired from the Community of Christ Headquarters. On May 2, 1992, he married Ella J. Nieder, who survives him in death. He is also survived by three sons, Aaron Laughlin, Allen Laughlin and wife Cricket, and Les Laughlin and wife Jen; seven grandchildren, Jenni, Maegan, Athena, Josh, Ray, Morgan and Kennedy; as well as three great grandchildren.
