Emma Francis Law, of Independence, MO, passed away on December 22, 2021. She was 86. A visitation will be held from 10-11am, concluding with Rosary at 10:45am with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am on Friday, January 7th, 2022; 3736 S Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055. Interment will follow at 1pm at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Emma was born on April 2, 1935 in El Paso, TX to Manuel Franco, Jr. and Angeline (Brady) Franco. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in El Paso, TX and shortly after, moved to Kansas City, KS and attended KCKS Community College. Emma worked as an Administrative Assistant for Southwestern Bell for 25 years before retiring in 1988. She was a member of St Mark Catholic Church in Independence and involved in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Emma enjoyed sewing, antiquing, and making rosaries for the church and foreign missions.
Emma is preceded in death by both of her parents. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronald Law; her son, Michael Carriger; her step-son, Rinney Law; grandchildren, Tanner, Marisa, Dawson, and Garett; and siblings-in-law, Luella Fern, Jenevieve, Ernie, and Celeste.
