Billy Lawrence

Billy Rhea Lawrence, 73, Indepedence, MO passed away Jan. 18, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10113 E. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm, at Iantha Cemetery, Iantha, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family suggests contributions to the JDRF Kansas City Chapter, 920 Main, Ste. 280, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Bill was born Feb. 12, 1939 in Milan, MO and graduated from Milan High School. He was a stagehand in Kansas City for over thirty-three years as a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stagehand Employees Local #31. He worked many trade shows, auto shows, theatrical productions and concerts during his career. He was a member of St. Ann’s parish. He loved collecting coins and stamps.
Bill was preceded in death by daughter Kiley Ann Lawrence. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years Hazel Lawrence, of the home; daughter Tonya Lecuru and husband Paul, Shawnee, KS; sister Margaret Ann Beabout and husband Jerry, Osage Beach, MO; grandchildren Andrew and Nicholas Lecuru.
