Ron Leeper, 55 of Blue Springs, passed away on Tuesday, Sept 17, 2013, at St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Tri-City Baptist Church, 4500 Little Blue Parkway, Independence, MO 64057, with burial in the Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at the church.
Ron was born on October 28, 1957, Leon, Iowa, the son of Gene and Alice (Stone) Leeper.
He was employed at St Luke’s Health Systems as a computer systems engineer. He was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years.
Ron loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed the times spent singing around the piano, and going camping, hunting and fishing. He loved God with all of his heart.
He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Vicki Leeper, of the home; four children, Angie Samms and her husband Bryan, Lancaster, CA; Daniel Leeper and his wife Holly, St Charles, IL; Stephen Leeper and his wife Irena, Grain Valley; Mark Leeper and his wife Melissa, Waipahu, HI; seven grandchildren, Adrianna and Brent Samms, Carson, Malachi, Jason Ron, Nycole and Dawson Leeper; his mother, Alice Leeper, Pleasanton, IA two brothers, Gary Leeper and his wife Jo, Florissant; and David Leeper and his wife Nancy, Blue Springs; one sister-in-law, Joyce Leeper; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, his son, Jason Leeper, and one brother, Randy Leeper.
