Lorraine Leibold, 87, died October 22, 2012, surrounded by family in her home. A visitation will take place from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, October 26, 2012, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City, MO. Lorraine was born August 21, 1925, in Kansas City to parents Neal C. and Elva B. (Giger) McInnes. She graduated from William Chrisman High School and went on to work as a secretary for The Aluminum Company of America, in downtown, Kansas City. She was later employed at Alton Jewelry, in Independence, MO. Lorraine was past president of the Medical Center of Independence Auxiliary, and the PTA. She will be sincerely missed by her family who loved her very much. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Leibold; son, Charles Leibold; and brother Donald McInnes. She is survived by her two children; Stephen D. Leibold (Victoria); daughter, Julie Drummond (Ronnie); five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, JoAnne McInnes; three nephews; one neice; and many other close relatives and friends.
