Russell Leibold

Russell Willis Leibold, 75 of Independence, MO passed away Sat. Aug, 9, 2003 at the Regency Care Center. Services will be 2:00 pm, Wed. Aug 13, 2003 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 1 - 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Leibold was born on Sep 3, 1927 to Frank and Edith Leibold in Helena, MT and has lived in the Independence area most of his life. He had been a carpenter for the carpenter�s union local 1329 retiring in 1990. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 21. He was a life member of the National American Hunting Club. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Leibold was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Nichole and Alicia Leibold. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Leibold of Independence. Two sons, Stephen D. Leibold and his wife, Victoria of Crystal Lake, MO, and Charles E. Leibold of Independence, MO. One daughter, Julie A. Drummond and husband Ronnie of Independence. Six grandchildren, Sommer, Eric, Shane, Rachel, Jacqueline and Cortney. One neice, Marcia Leibold of Kansas City, MO.
