Bill J. Lemasters, 88, of Overland Park, KS, passed July 5, 2013. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia, MO. In memory of Bill, contributions may be made to Kendallwood Hospice. Bill was born February 4, 1925 in Wellsville, MO to Otis and Nona Lemasters. He farmed with his brother Jack in the Vandalia area from 1951-1981. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Lemasters; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Evelyn Lemasters; as well as one sister, Mavis Alexander. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Ludwig and husband Woody of Overland Park, KS; brother, Don Lemasters of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons, Brian Hesse and wife Holly of Olathe, KS, Craig Lemasters of Eugene, OR; two granddaughters, Carrie Lemasters of Seattle, WA and Kristina Lemasters of Portland, OR; great grandchildren, Jaxon and Ella Hesse, Jack, Thomas and Colin DeBruler; and two nephews, Randy Lemasters and wife Lana, Steve Lemasters and wife Vicki.
