Lester Allen Williamson, 60, of Odessa, Missouri, died Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born on Tuesday, September 17, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Larry and Louise Williamson.
A graduate of William Chrisman High School, Lester went on to obtain his associate degree as well as attending courses earning his degree and certificates in Welding and Drafting. He worked for many years as a CAD Tech. but health restrictions early on in life prohibited him from doing what he truly wanted to do, drive a big rig. Later in life he was able to overcome those obstacles, getting his CDL and fulfilling that dream. Lester was a member and on the board of the Shoal Creek Living History Museum, Kidney Warriors, Amputee peer and support group, the Crooked Creek Posse, Christian Motorcyclists Association Independence Chapter, and was a member of the Independence First United Methodist Church where he also participated in the Midland United Methodist Cursillo. He was strong-willed and had a tremendous faith that carried him on through ailments that were to come. Never asking why but pushing through adversity with the mind set to serve and help others in similar situations. He enjoyed listening to music, reenacting Civil War history, Hunting, Fishing, and Ghost Hunting. However, more than anything he loved and cherished his family.
In 2010 he met his best friend and love of his life Debra Spencer, they stood by each other through thick and thin and enjoyed the same life’s passions. Lester was kind, loving, incredibly generous and thoughtful, he will be deeply missed by all.
Lester is survived by his wife, Debra, sons, Tyler & Cody and their wives Brianna and Brittany, stepchildren Karl & Hollee and Hollee's husband James; grandchildren, Aidan, Nevaeh, and Phillip; his parents Larry and Louise; 3 brothers, Lonnie, Lloyd, and Luke; Luke’s wife Jodie and their daughters, his nieces, Brittany and Destany and Brittany’s husband Brad and their kids Tressa and Cadogen. He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sherri.
