Fay Lenore Levitt, 92, passed away, Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in Independence, MO. She was
born May 7, 1927, in Senlac, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Rudolph and Grace Cornish. Fay
married her friend and love, William, June 15, 1945, and they enjoyed 66 years together. They
gathered with their little daughter, Terry, to Missouri in 1954.
Fay was a loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was also a talented seamstress, making fine clothes and linens for her family and others, as well as baker and gardener. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Grain Valley Restoration Branch, where she faithfully shared her testimony of God’s love and how He had done so much for her. She loved the hymns and could often be heard humming, Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us.
Mrs. Levitt was predeceased by her husband, William; and daughter, Terry Piatt. She is survived by her
granddaughter, Tiffany Burkart and husband David; and great-grandsons, Joseph and Samuel.
A graveside memorial will be held when circumstances allow at Buckner Hill Cemetery.
