Cathy Lewis

Cathy Lewis 65, of Olathe, KS passed away September 15, 2018 after battling cancer for 8 months. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Per Cathy’s request cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be private. Cathy was born on July 18, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to Virgil and Rita (Ballew) Glassinger. She was a graduate of Olathe North High School, and a long time employee of M&R Glass. Cathy enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was always ready for the next adventure, where ever that led her. Cathy took great pride in her children and grandchildren and was quick to show you the latest pictures. She enjoyed hosting family and friends at her home for holidays and special occasions. Survivors include; loving husband of 38 years, John “Jack” Lewis; daughters Brandy Meeker Thayer and her husband Mike, Jayme Meeker Specht and her husband Michael; son Jonathon Lewis and his wife Brandi; parents Virgil and Rita Glassinger; brother Darryl and his wife Ginger; 7 grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Cathy is preceded in death by her brother Gary Gregory and sister Deborah Glassinger. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice House of Olathe 15310 S.
