Harry Raymond Lewis, 103, of Independence, MO, passed away on November 29, 2022, at the Groves. He was born on March 15, 1919, in Atherton, MO, to James and Anna Lewis. Harry served as a corporal in the Marines from 1943-1946 and served his country proud in WWII. He loved taking care of his home and yard, even mowed his own yard until he was 95. Harry loved working on trucks and was a truck driver for years for Cooper Jarret. In his later years Harry really enjoyed watching the news.
Harry is survived by his granddaughter Erin Miller and her husband Jake and two great grandchildren Jemma and Rex. He is reunited in death with his loving wife Doris, his daughter Deana Pittman and her husband Bill.
A visitation for Harry will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St Independence, MO) on Thursday December 8, 2022, from 5-7pm. Graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Garden on Friday December 9, 2022 at 2pm.
